Sinadya sa Halaran Festival

The Sinadya sa Halaran Festival celebrates the city’s patron saint, Sr. Sto. Nino de Cebu (the Holy Child Jesus). It takes place on January 16th each year and features a colorful street parade with floats depicting local agricultural products and religious images. Afterward, there are various cultural activities such as traditional dances and performances by local artists. Aswang Festival

The Aswang Festival was an annual event held in Roxas City, Capiz that celebrates the legend of the aswangs (mythical creatures). The festivities last for several days and include traditional dances such as tinikling (a folk dance performed with bamboo poles) and parol making (the making of Christmas lanterns). However, the festival was discontinued by the former city mayor in 2007 as it was against Christian principles
