Bacolod's MassKara Festival hits the streets of Hong Kong
The Barangay Granada MassKara Dancers, who have won Bacolod City's MassKara competition five times, will be showcasing their talents at Hong Kong's Chinese New Year festivities, thanks to an invitation from the Hong Kong Tourism Board. They'll be part of the Cathay International Chinese New Year Night Parade on February 10th, which is back after a five-year break. The parade boasts a record number of performers from around the globe, including groups from Japan, Spain, Germany, and Tibet. The dance group's choreographer is thrilled to bring the colorful MassKara tradition to Hong Kong and celebrate the Chinese New Year there. This appearance follows their successful performance at the Philippine Independence Day parade in New York. The parade will also feature nine floats from various Hong Kong organizations. The floats will be on public display for a couple of weeks following the parade.
