PASUNGAY FESTIVAL is one of the tourist attraction prepared by every San Joaquinhon for a long week celebration of their annual Town Fiesta. It is a festival of bull fight or carabao fight and held in the Municipality of San Joaquin, Iloilo, Philippines every 3rd Saturday of January.  The caption, "ลืม ตา ป้อง กัน," while needing precise Thai translation, likely carries a message related to the event.  "Open your eyes" suggests attentiveness and awareness of the potential dangers involved, while "protect yourself" implies a need for caution, perhaps for spectators or those handling the buffaloes.  These fights are often deeply rooted in local culture and can have varying levels of regulation depending on the region. According to the story, Pasungay was started during the Spanish era. It was begun when two raging bulls were set loose by the herdsmen or cow keeper. The fight was witness by the farmers resting in the hillside. The farmers were amused on what they have seen.
